My Sig 1911
I have had this one for awhile now, she has around a 1000-1200 rounds through it now and the only problem I can remember having with it is I had to bump it into battery once when it was hot and dirty, had less than 500 through it at that time and I think I was feeding it Perfecta ammo that day. The trigger is very nice with no creep and breaks just a fuzz below 5 lb with no over travel to it, the grips are very trippy G 10 and both the front and back strap are textured , it came with 3 dot Novak contrast sights that did an excellent job, but I just mounted a set of trijicon HDs that caught my eye at the LGS on it this past weekend.
I usually carry a compact as a EDC but with the addition of 2 new holsters and a heavy belt the 40 oz. Sig is no problem to carry for a 10-12 hour day.

When it comes to accuracy my ability can't do it's capability justice, it puts the bullets where it is pointed every time the only short fall is my ability to aim and get a good shot every time.

So to sum this up, if you get a chance to try out one of Sigs 1911 pistols don't hesitate, it is a pleasure to shoot.

A bit on the heavy side for me for EDC but still a fine choice with the right rig. Like the Trijicon HD sights!

Nice 1911 you have there!

Sig does make a nice one. I've got the commander length Sig 1911 pictured below and like almost everything about it... My Only issue is with the bronze Nitron finish. It has a small wear spot on the trigger guard through to the stainless caused on day one by a kydex holster, but it seems tough everywhere else. Everything else has been perfect!

I carried it all day today out hiking in the Ouchita National Forest. It is a good carry option with large firepower!

I have a Sig Fastback... the 4" version. Yep, it has a steel receiver and it's pretty heavy, but wow is it a nice gun. For the money, the features on the Sig are really first class. Very, very well done. Gorgeous muzzle details, checkering on the front strap, mine has beautiful wood grips, a really stunning trigger right out of the box... it doesn't get a lot better. On top of that, it shoots precisely where I point it, every time.

Only problem I've ever had was an occasional failure to go fully into battery. I solved that by dressing the corner and underside of the extractor a tiny bit. One thing to note... before I messed with the extractor, I ordered a spare directly from Sig. HOLY CRAP, does Sig think a lot of their parts!! They wanted $50 for an extractor!! (I can find Browning Hi-Power extractors for ~$10).

Love the Sig 1911s, despite the non-standard profile of the slides.
