Wish me luck!

I've been having a lot of FTE issues with STAG-15 carbine, had a couple thousand rounds through it and tried many things to no avail. Contacted Stag, they were very helpful and sent me a shipping label pronto so I could send it in to be looked at, hopefully everything will work out and I'll have my rifle back working soon...

A couple questions, has anyone dealt with Stag customer service before?

I polished the trigger to make it break better, do you think this will be an issue? It did not make the jams better or worse, obviously. Also, I replaced the extractor spring with a stronger one hoping to fix the problem (it helped but didn't fix it.) Do you think I should change it back before sending it in?

Thanks

Change the extractor spring back to factory, don't worry about the trigger. In fact I would even send them back the lower, just send the the upper.

I mentioned that I had changed out the extractor spring to customer service, and he didn't say anything about it... hmm. Maybe I will send them an email and ask.

I'm worried it could be a buffer spring issue, it's a long shot but what if? Then I'll wish I sent in the lower.

Wow, they sent you a label and paid for shipping to get it to them?

Now THAT is what you call customer service.

Stag customer service is good....send the entire rifle back, replace the extractor spring with the original before sending it back.

I should think the trigger work you did wouldn't be a problem for them.

Let us know what happens and what the problem was....make sure to ask for a definition of the problem and the technicians name that repaired it...get all this in writing.

Uncle mike- thanks for the suggestions. I will do that, because I am really puzzled about the problem myself and would like to know that something was actually fixed.

Sent the upper on their dime, Got a new, function tested upper with a new extra free mag. Great people to deal with.

Me too! No free mag but they replaced my stock that I banged up on a rock, free of charge!
