Here's a question....how come some Taurus 1911s have the serial number on the slide below the ejection port and other have the number on the frame below the port?

I don't know, but the more I look at it the more I want it!! :banghead:

Would you mind listing your modifications for the less experienced (me)?

I like it much better now that the markings are cleaned up. Do you have a list of what you did?

Thanks guys its nice to know that other people appreciate the hardwork and time I put into building this gun. As for the modifications to many to mention and the cost I don't think about it anymore it just gives me a headache :(.

The chrome piece between the slide lock and safety is a thumb guard it prevents your thumb from accidentally rubbing the slide while your firing the gun to avoid feeding problems.

As for the modifications to many to mention

Come on voltaire21, that is pure popycock

You love the gun enough to put that amount of time and money into it. You love the gun enough to take the time to take pictures of it in many poses. You love the gun enough to post those posed pics and let us all drool over it. Now love US enough to let us know the mods...please. :D

On the other hand, if you are concerned that someone might copy your sweet looking beaut' piece for piece, then by all means, keep the list to yourself, and please forgive us for liking it enough to ask. ;)

Noidster

p.s. Oh and by the way, love the gun, love what you have done with it...nice job, very nice job indeed!
