I bought a Savage camo model 25 in .223 today and was going to have the wife to shoot it (she doesnt shoot much at all) but the stock is too long. I went to the safe and got a Mossberg MVP out for her. She cant close her left eye and is right handed so she put on a patch. The little lady did a great job! She had a blast. This was 10 shots.

My wife loves to shoot but has a lot of trouble with any kind of pistol because of weak hands, and the frustration of actually hitting a target. I think she would really love shooting the .223 from a bench. Im gonna try to get her out this weekend. Thanks for the idea!

The MVP has a very short stock but is still too long for my wife. She's pushing 5' tall and has a hard time getting her eye close enough to the scope. After 10 shots , her eyes were getting tored so we quit. Like I said, she had fun and that was what it's all about.

I rather strongly suggest that you modify the stock so it fits her body-size. It's for her enjoyment, right? So make it more enjoyable. :)

Guns are cheap. Good wives aren't.

I was thinking about that. Yep, she's a good one. She's a good shot with some handguns too. She just needs to shoot more.
