Background....

My reloading "bench" (actually an old desk) shares the unheated portion of our basement with my wood shop and 500 lbs of 'stuff' that cries out for a garage. The other half of the basement is a finished office from which my wife runs her home business. The office is set up with a day bed, so it can double as a guest bedroom.

So....we're in the process of building a sizeable addition to our house .... because three kids sharing the same bedroom just ain't gonna cut it any longer!

Me...I'm psyched about the 'new' basement, because I've staked my claim on it for a "real" woodshop. But I've been stumped about what to do with my re-loading bench. I don't want to give up shop space.....but I'm tired of freezin' my butt off.

So, I'm starin' at the back of her head while she does her home business thing last night and she says...."once we get the day bed out of here, why don't you move your reloading set up into the office" :D:D:D:D

I am so psyched!!!

Man is she a keeper.

She way well be but be careful of too much praise, Us men pretty much understand that women run the world, we just don't want to let them know that we know....:)

When my oldest child moved out, my wife let me have his room to setup in. MY OWN ROOM. Wow, she sure is nice to me. :D

Congrats. never give it back. Possession is 9/10ths of the law.

Hey!!! all you guys are married...Knock it off. I have my own room for my guns and reloading stuff. (Stuff=That which belongs to a man)(Junk=that which belongs to a woman). But I didn't say that...

My friends keep telling me that the 50's Sinclair gas pump in the living room will be the first to go if I ever get married, I guess I could sacrafice that for a loading room.

She just wants to keep an eye on you. :)

Jack A Lope,

I completly agree, this thread does need a pic or 2.

Reloader Fred,

Just a teaser, Hope you have high celings where ever you want to put a gas pump, as mist are this tall, but there were a few that old pumps that are under 6' globe and all, Unfortunately it is not for sale at this time, and neither is the '31 Quarter Slot (for entertainment purposes only of course).

Very nice! My livingroom ceiling is about 14', so no problem. I traded my slot machine for a Springfield M1A, but I've still got a 1902 National Cash Register......

As long as you are having an addition built why don't you have heat piped into your basement shop area? Then you could have a gun room and a shop room.

Good Wife.

Hey my kids moved out a few years back and I even got my own bathroom now. The bath tub still has a little yellow duck from the grand kids.
But I am getting camo shower curtians.:)

RonE makes an excellent point.

If the "new" basement has HVAC ducted to it, why not duck to the "old" basement (assuming there's a shared wall)?
