So I went to wally world today, and the sporting goods store, and the only grease i could find was in the automotive section at walmart. I grabbed a tube of Mystik No. 2 high temp grease. Is this stuff okay for guns?

I figured that grease is grease and hi temp is probably better for a firearm. Thoughts?

yes, hi-temp probably means it's a synthetic blend grease. Fishing reel grease is also very good, also synth blend. Avoid the white grease in a spray can, water droplets form on the gun since the EPA outlawed flourocarbon carriers

Okie dokie. I hate spray grease anyways, hehehehe, though I love oil in a spray can. I just used a dab from the cap for the whole gun. That 14 oz tube will probably last me the rest of my life and most of my future children's life. XD

You'll be fine using it. You won't need much and it will last you a lifetime. A quart of synthetic oil should last foreever. Just try different brands of greases and oils to see what woks best for you. Or you can buy the fancy stuff that says "Gun" on the label.

Mystik...owned by Citgo...Hugo Chavez/Venezuala..

Products are good(used to be produced and owned by Cato Oil Company in Oklahoma City)..ownership is communist.:scrutiny:
