the one 'flaw' I noticed was

when they cat their own bullet, they cooled it before opening the mould.I"ve never seen this done, but then I'm not an expert on casting either.

I applaud them for even having the guts to have guns on their show. They may not alwasy get it right, but they are at least not antis...not onair anyway.

The episode was pretty bad. They have the "myth" of the "backwards bullet" story completely wrong -- the bullet was fired by a cop and stuck in the cylinder of the BG.

Furthermore they make a dubious assertion that a 9mm bullet won't fit into a .38 Special cylinder.

And I just saw the first half of the show.

What diffrence does it make on the outcome of the test, if the BG was the one with the revolver?. The 9mm bullet (or what was left of it) did fit in the cylinder. However getting one 100% intact into the cylinder is a diffrent story.

I guess it doesn't make any difference who had the revolver. I'm just anal about the details.

Also one huge factor they ignored was that in the actual events it was a loaded, unfired revolver, not one with an empty chamber. The one on the show didn't even have a fired case in it.
