Nagant Question

I do not endorse the practice, but I have seen people run .32 H&R through their stock nagant cylinders. By that logic any .32 should work except .327 fed. Still all the .32 H&R I saw had splits and problems ejecting, but the guys that were shooting it did not seem bothered.:scrutiny:

I dont remember the exact dimensions when i miked mine, but I seem to remember there was too much play in the chambers to make me comfortable with shooting any .32 ( I have the .32 acp cylinder now). Will the gun do it, yeah probably but don't count on reusing any brass.

If you use .32 S&W or H&R, one way to maybe avoid case splits would be to wrap a thin layer of paper around the cartridge case prior to insertion if the fit is real loose.

Hmmm, the paper may not be a terrible idea, I wonder if you could use wax paper to help eject shells?
For the .32 S&W there is no problem with this assuming that it provides lubrication. I would not do it with the .32 H&R. Lubrication might increase the thrust of the cartridge to the rear thereby stressing the revolver. Paper w/o wax, I do not anticipate ejection problems.

Because the actual 7.62x38r is at least $10 more/box. I'm gonna order some of the "real" stuff as well, but want some .32's as a cheaper alternative.

And on the note of leading, is there anything that can be done to reduce leading?
Some sort of lube perhaps?

I would be more willing to pay more for partizan 7.62x38r ammo if it were loaded to original full military spec of close to a 1,000 FPS and also to the old 32-20 loads.
