Do you people not read these or do you just read the first one & then post something ?...........He said it was a 6.5-223, that would be a

6.5x45.............
 
Yeah, we're still trying to make the .223 a viable cartridge for anything bigger than a prairie dog. :neener:

Winner winner chicken dinner! I was planning on calling it the 6.5-223! I don't really have a rifle to shoot this (yet) but it sounded fun send me your email JohnnyC.
There are already several versions of a .223 necked up to 6.5mm - I have a "6.5 Ingram" barrel for my Contender from when I was shooting handgun metallic silhouette back in the '80s, and T/C had a 6.5 TCU.

From a 15" barrel, my Contender was giving me around 2100 ft/sec with a 140 grain bullet.

No need to re-invent the wheel. ;)
 
.223 IMI for that teeny-weeny lookin 223 thing.
Made by IMI (obviously) to turn the Uzi into essentially an early PDW.
