Native Americans and Gun Laws

Or that driving below the speed limit is exploiting a "loophole" to avoid a speeding ticket?

I agree. But thinking along lines of "Hmmm, Indian reservations are sovereign nations, so maybe I can get this here now illegal firearm sent to a reservation, so then it'll be in the US and I can bring it off the reservation and get around all those pesky laws" isn't exactly setting out to follow the laws. It's specifically looking for a way to do something you pretty much know you're not legally allowed to do. That fits my parameters for kooking for loopholes. The fact the the loophole sought in this case doesn't exist and that the OP can't legally do what he hoped doesn't mean he wasn't looking for a loophole.

So, what's the verdict in AZ when carrying on non-res Indian land? I never got an answer to my question of having a major highway going through Indian land and stopping at major businesses there off that highway (69 up from Phoenix via Cordes Junction). Prescott Gateway Mall, Lowe's, Wal-Mart, nationwide restaurant chains, etc. The guys at Gunsite mentioned this when I did my CCW course there, but they didn't have a definitive answer.

After living there for 3+ years, I can tell you the laws are as convuluted as about a dozen snakes wrapped together in a ball.
For kicks one time I looked over some of the laws on one reservation, forget which. It was interesting, and it seemed to me that many of the laws on their books were so confusing and vague that they would be tossed out by any court other than a tribal one.
