The handgun combatives course is designed to take shooters well beyond the basics they have previously learned. The student will gain advanced knowledge in the mental and legal aspects of employing lethal force as well as significantly increasing their weapon handling skills. We will review actual shootings, address the response to active shooters, learn stress inoculation, and undergo reality based shooting scenarios.
Learning concepts will include advanced marksmanship fundamentals, stances, weapon presentation, and shooting from awkward positions. The student will shoot on the move, engage multiple threats, perform emergency and tactical reloads, and understand advanced concepts of cover and concealment. Injured shooter drills will be considered as well as one-handed draws, shooting, reloads, and malfunction clearances.

Weapon & Equipment Requirements
•Serviceable handgun (9mm minimum)
•Minimum three magazines (5 is better)
•Suitable carry holster and magazine pouch
•600 rounds of ammunition
•Eye and ear protection
•Flashlight or weapon mounted tac light
