Maybe a tad overpriced for a singlestack 9mm covered with stamps, but these are supposed to be good pistols.

Came across this by accident, jsut thought I'd share.

The Germans used a lot of them during WWII, and the Soviets captured MANY and later sold them to the West (along with a bunch of Lugers...) I've had a couple of the Model Bs (and two of the captured Lugers); one of the Model B's had Waffenampt (German Army markings), and I think Germany bought them directly from Spain (which was an ally during that period). The Model Bs look like a 1911, but internally are quite different.

I've seen a number of Spanish guns with German markings.. but Spanish Pistol witb Bulgarian and Russian markings?

Just seems like an odd duck.

I picked up one of these

I picked up one of these from Aim. I got to shoot it for the first time yesterday. It was in very good shape as described, and has the original wood grips. I thoroughly cleaned it and lubed it before shooting. It may well have been over 50 years since the gun had been fired. I understand they were shuffled from inventory to inventory in the past several decades. After some trouble with the magazine on the first load [I may have to disassemble and clean it, it may still have some cosomoline in there], it got into perfect rhythm and started shooting very well with no problems. Very cool looking gun, but I have to confess that the surplus Walther P1 I picked up is much more accurate. Granted, the Walther is only 40 years old where the Star is nearly 70 years old. My 25 year old CZ-82s are even more accurate

I wanted one of these too, but could not justify it at that price. Too many other pistols/revolvers in the price range.

I've had one for about 6-7 years. Bought it from a member here. I like the ergo's of it, sort of 7/8 size 1911. Mine's not very reliable. It's a range toy so that doesn't matter a whole lot. Got to be careful of hammer bite, mine holds it's own in the accuracy department. If I had it to do all over again I'd compare it to the Star BM to see how things stack up.

I'm assuming Aim did their homework on the price before they put them out there, but considering a new CZ is $400-500 perhaps $400 is too much.

I don't know one way or ta other on these... What's reasonable? I find them intriguing and would hate to get burned.
