Need 9mm: BHP, Sig, H&K, STI or RRA?

I owned a BHP because I liked 1911s and wanted something similar in 9mm. To be honest, I didn't like it nearly as much as the 1911. I sold the BHP. I've since shot a couple 1911 style guns in 9mm and liked them a lot.

The BHP is a great gun, but it wasn't for me. My opinion is if you are comfortable with the 1911, just get one of those in 9mm.

The Sig and HK are fine guns as well, but completely different platforms.

Everyone should have at least one 1911 and one BHP in their safe just to fondle regardless of whether or not they shoot them! :)

That being said, try them all out and get the one you like best and can get the best deal on.

+1 for the Sig P226. I tried shooting the HK, but it didn't feel "right" in my hand. Too bulky and the magazine release was odd.

The Sig, on the other hand, feels like a complete extension of my arm. Very smooth, easy to fire, and extremely accurate right out of the box. Worth every penny.

I just got myself a BHP with Novak Home Defense Package on it. The gun has great ergonomics and point naturally. It is also a very handsome gun. However I just hate the trigger. I just can't get use to it.

I would urge you to look at Walther p99 AS. I love mine.
