Need a good folding knife for my EDC

Arthritic, gimpy, clumsy old fart that I am, an assisted opening feature along with a reversable clip for left or right carry/deployment suits me just dandy.

There is also a Swiss Army Knife, 'Electricians Model' (now discontinued) in a pocket. Its sharpened awl is handy for digging out splinters. Its screwdriver tip works better than using a dime. Some beverage bottlers do not make 'screw tops' (Carona beer), so a cap lifter has been known to replace the 'church key' of previous times.

The Spiderco 'Co-Pilot' ( also now discontinued) in the other front pocket makes for a dandy money clip. Thats only on those rare occasions when my wife allows me to have more than two nickels. The Spiderco clip don't work too good with nickels.

Strangely enough, what gets the most use is 1.00$ box cutter/Exacto/razor knife gizmo carried in a shirt pocket. Kinda speedy to access too.

There was a time, pre assisted opening days, when the heavy handle Buck 110 served additional duty as a hammer and door knocker. It was also great for wearing out the back pocket of a pair of jeans.

Kidding aside, an assited opening, ambi capable is kinda handy. Its one of those 'why didn't I think of that' ideas.

I generally have a medium stockman or trapper, a buck strider of sog flash2 and a sog multitool. The small knife is used for small things the multitool is used for almost everything and the lock blade is almost never used. It's there mainly for defense so kept very sharp and stays that way.
