I am looking for a metal silhouette target for my AR and 300 Win Mag. I will be shooting from 100 to 600 yards most likely. Anyone have any idea where to get a decent target at a decent price that will hold up and make a nice ping!

I don't know a tremendous amount, other than you absolutely want the steel to be AR500. I'm not sure about it being strong enough for a 300 WM, though. Be sure that for rifle it is a min. of 100 yards away.

I shoot steel targets (6" and 12" plates) at 300-600 yds. at the ranch.
I used 1/2" T1.
I found that at 100 and 200 yds. the faster calibers (25-06, etc.) will crater the plates, but have slowed enough at 300 this isn't an issue.
I use paper targets at 100 and 200 as I can see the bullet holes at this range.

No help on a supplier of commercially available silhouettes.

Call the local brickyard and see if they have any cinder block moulds they're ready to get rid of. they'll probably just give them to you for free. I wouldn't shoot at them at <200 yds. with the 300 but they oughtta' hold up very well beyond that--

Seeing your in the North Country, stop by the municipal garage, and ask if you can have some used up scraper edges off the plow trucks(underbody plows) They are super hard, 3/4" thick, hold up very well. Have someone weld them together as they will only be 3"-4" wide, and go shoot!:)
