Just bought an Armalite M15 flattop. Been looking at inexpensive red dot sights, but all the sight I'm finding are crap. I want an EOtech but my pockets arent that deep at the moment. Any suggestions?

i think your going to need to define "in-expensive" a little better since it is a relative term.....

somewhere in the $100-200 range im guessing?

Vortex StrikeFire. EOTech on a budget . . . $150 most places.

Red or Green 3 MOA dot, includes an optical doubler (2x).

I'm very happy with mine.

100-200 range is fine. I have a2 sights on this AR, so I am concerned about whether the front sight will interfere with the red dot. The rear sight is removable BTW. All other AR's I've had are flattops so I've never had to deal with that variable while red dot shopping.

I have the Bushnell on my flattop MP-14OR.

I don't have front sights on mine, but I've done a little research and from what I've read it co-witnesses with the front sight on ARs. FWIW

Also, I bought mine for $170 from a local gun shop last year. With a little effort, you can probably track one down on the internet for less. I've seen them around $140 before, but could not tell you the site.

Both Vortex sights will provide absolute co-witness with the front sight on an AR (in the Strikefire model, you need to buy the AR specific version; in the SPARC it comes with an adjustable mount).

None of the Eotech clones are truly holographic. AFAIK the only genuine, truly holographic sights available to buy in the US are:
1) EOTech
2) Bushnell Holosight
3) ITL Mars
