need feedback on using caliber conversion barrel in an XD40

I have my eye on a Springfield XD 5" tactical in .40 and wondering what problems if any using

a 9mm conversion barrel, as I want utter reliability. I know this works in a Glock, but how is it

in an XD??

I have a 4" xd40, and have had a 9mm conversion barrel in it for 9 years. No flaws whatsoever.

9mm storm lake threaded barrel in a 9mm XD for a long time. Not quite your situation, but no issues at all in my case. My aftermarket barrel looks to have a bit more support than the stocker, but again, no reliability issues.
