Thanks for that info. I’ll have to readjust for sure. Help me understand the OAL adjustment. Is it to adjust for pressure differences?

Yes and also a. 147 grain projectile is long so having it 1.12 ish seems short, a lot of bullet In the case vs a 115. Most 115 124 are around 1.12 1.13. I’m running N340 with 124 grain at 1.126.

thats helpful. How do you like N340? Have you compared it to N320?

Looking at the N320 data you will need to be around 1.157 OAL. 3.1-3.6 grains
VV didn’t have “close” data for a cast/lead 147gr bullet and N320. I extrapolated from the 145gr H&N RN, which specs 1.142 but safely worked down to 1.120”. At 3.2gr of N320 that gives me a 131 PF out of a P226. It’s one of my minor loads, but I do need to chrono it for the P320 as that could possibly let me reduce the charge a bit more and still make minor comfortably.
N340 is considerably slower than N320. N340 will work well for full powered loads, so it depends on what your intended usage is. Good luck.

I have not tried N320, I have some, but bought 4 4lb. of N340, so I’ve been using it. The data I told you was for a plated round nose, not lead, from the VV app. When I was using coated bullets I would start with plated data, the above post looks very helpful for you. I use a lab radar to check everything, but I went back to plated Berry’s projectiles, I have no real data for a 147 lead coated with any of your powders.

This is super helpful. I want to land around 130 PF for USPSA. I use a P320. Anything you discover will be a great starting point for me!!

With a P320 you have a lot of room to adjust the OAL. With a CZ however, I have to seat most bullets to OAL of 1.09 or else they wont plunk.
