Better, but you need to be able to put 100 out of 100 on the target!
BTW…when I took my CHP class there ended up being only 2 of us in the class-I had a Springfield XDSC40 and the other fella had the same in the 4” barrel. He claimed he had fired quite a few guns, but dry fire was one of the drills we had during the class, and I noticed during dry fire practice, as he was squeezing the trigger his gun got to wobblin’ a bit! I remember thinking to myself “if he does that on the range, I don’t know what he’s going to be hitting!” I heard the instructor tell him to notice how the only thing that moved when I dry fired was my finger (just takes a bit of practice).
Anywho…we get to the range and the first shot I fired (first time firing my XDSC40) was dead center, 6 o’clock low (damn accurate little gun, and I proceeded to work my way up to target center), but I noticed I had two holes in my target! I asked him which target he was shooting, and he was shooting (or at least aiming) at the correct one, but hit mine!
After the class was over (we fired 26 rounds) I counted 34 holes in my target!
Moral of this story?
You guessed it…practice dry firing and learn trigger finger control!
