I asked you all for some poly-framed 9mm suggestions and I've looked at a pile of them. Thank you all for your suggestions. I've narrowed my selection down to two strong possibilities and one lone underdog. My budget isn't very much, around $400, so I'm trying to find these guns used and has been a challange so far, but eventually, one will show up but somewhere, here they are, please give me some insight into why one may be better than the other.
Leading the pack, the M&P9c. I'm looking for a compact that has a pinky-rest and fits my hand. The M&P9c fits. Trigger right out of the box is pretty decent and the Apex parts seem like a real asset, can truly improve the trigger easily at a later date if needed. I hear they smooth out nicely after 400-500 rounds anyway so Apex may not be necessary.
Second choice: Ruger SR9c. Also fits my hand well, seems slimmer than the M&P which I like, the stippling on the grip feels better than the M&P also. Has a tiny safety which I'm not sure if I like or dislike. I do like that fact it has fully adjustable rear sight, carry mag has two base plates and comes with a high-cap mag and mag sleeve for range use. Also, is a Prescott, Arizona gun and I support Arizona's new immigration law. Supporting an Az. company and American workers appeals to me.
Underdog: Sig SP2022. I found one brand new for $399 online but didn't order fast enough. Problem is, no one around has one, I can't hold one to see what it feels like and there's no chance of renting one at a local range. Also, I think the other two I'm looking at are smaller and lighter. But, I've owned other Sigs, love the traditional Sig DA/SA trigger with decocker.
Holsters are an issue for me, I want to be able to find a variety of holsters. I'm thinking in terms of ease of finding them M&P might have the advantage of variety, then the Ruger, lastly the Sig. And I'm already seeing aftermarket parts for the M&P line so...
...I need your help.
