I need some advice.
I have a S&W M-65 that has a problem where the cocked hammer will fall if the gun butt is rapped with a brass hammer. This gun had an action job done by a gunsmith, but it is a different gunsmith that discovered the hammer fall problem. He said this means the sear engagement is incorrect and the work should be redone.
Does this make the gun unsafe? Should I have the work redone? This is the same gun that had the bent ejector rod that caused it to be hard to open on one chamber. That was the reason I took it to the second smith in the first place.
