hey guys,
today hell froze over and i bought a g32 from a police distributer here localy and the serial number had me perplexed. i have owned a few glocks in my time and have seen there serial numbers before but this one is different.

glock 32 gen 3 357 sig

serial gtc000

the barrel slide and frame all match. a little research turned up that it is a blue lable glock meening its, leo,emt,ert,ect.....

questions are:

1. because of the 000 can this be a low serial number glock?
2. can gtc stand for something?
3. is there a value increase.

these are all thing i am wondering and any help would be nice

thanks brandon

There are no 3rd gen glocks that would be considered low serial number glocks.

The letters preceding the numbers in glock serial numbers are a progression that started with AA in 1986, progressed up through AB, AC...AZ, BA...ZZ and then rolled over to a 3 letter progression in about 1992 starting with AAA.

Your Glock was made in late 2004, most probably in December.

The newest Glocks are up to a three letter combo starting with 'R', I believe.

The only exceptions I'm aware of to the progression are special orders with specified serial numbers and some of the special guns like cutaways, etc. which can have their own letter prefix. For example, I believe all the cutaway guns have serial numbers starting with 'JQ' regardless of when they were made.

I would assume that it is the first G35, manufactured in December 2004...
As far as I know, they don't segregate the guns into models when serial numbering them, so the only thing one could say with certainty about GTC000 would be that it was serial numbered after GTB999 and before GTC001. GTB999 and GTC001 were likely at least guns that used the same frame size as GTC000, but not even that is 100% certain.
