Im trying to help a friend set it up and we are close but, when we pull the handle down and then goto raise it the shell plate doesnt index to right position. We have tried adjusting the screw under the shell plate carrier and the best we can do is get it close we have tried small adjustment and large adjustment. is there any other adjustments or tricks to get mit set right ??? HELP PLEASE!!!!

Mine Does That if It only had a "Half Stroke".
Try lifting (pulling the handle down)the Plate to roughly a Little more then Half way then resetting the handle to the top position.

That is what works for me. BUT Now that you have Jacked with the screw some you might need to now fine tune it once you get the plate indexed to the correct timing.

Hope this Helps.

Also you could goto www.leeprecision.com and check out their instruction videos. I had a problem with one of mine and I must have pushed it a little too much when it was jammed and I had to replace some pieces . Get them right from LEE they are pretty quick and you can order on line, just go to the Pro 1000 page and click on parts. The parts I needed were the nylon gear (I bought a couple) and the drive bolt. Check out the videos and the instructions and then maybe you will know if you need parts. Is it a new machine ?

Well it looks like the "drive blt watch" part # 2431 is worn out and its really sloppy maybe this is why we got it for $40 with 2 sets of dies. So we ordered up that part plus a couple of the plastic gears and bushings plus a new action rod so we will see how it works after all that thanks for the input guys.
