Need load data-.38 & .44 spl

I recently got some Hornady XTP bullets for free, but can't find any load data using W231;

.38spl - 140gr XTP in a Rossi 851 .38spl w/4"
.44 spl - 200gr XTP in a Redhawk .44mag w/7 1/2"

I just want a mild load for targets, any help would be appreciated.

Don't know about the .44 special, but the .38 special and W-231 I do...140 grain XTP over 4.0 to 4.3 for a standard load and 4.4 to 4.7 for a +P load.

You can go much higher occording to my Sierra manual, but I sure would work up slowly. W-231 can get a bit wild (pressure wise) at it's upper charge weights...

Yeah, that's what I was thinking for the .38 I just couldn't find anything specific in any of my manuals. I'll just hold off on the .44, until I find out something definitive. Thanks

Why not go to the source and download Winchesters manual and have their dat on hand for any need that may arise?

Hornady gives data for W-231 and Unique, for .38 spl. 4"barrel , and .44 spl. w/ a 3" . The data for the .44 is mild, the test firearm is a Charter Arms.
For the .44 load w/ W-231 start with 6.5 grns. , with Unique start w/ 7.0 grns.
