I was set on a Magpul UBR but they cant be found for under 400. So now I have to set my sights on something else. I have looked at the CTR and the VLTOR stock. Anybody have any reviews on either? I can't find too much on either stock. Also, any other recommendations would be great. It;s from a m4 carbine, weight isn't a huge issue but durability and stability are musts.

I have the Vltor E-Mod on my AR, it is very sturdy. So far, i have not broken anything on it, and the storage it provides is great.

I have had a couple of CTRs both on M4s. Great stock and the best thing is that it locks up tight. I can't stand the wobbly 6 position stocks. It looks good too.

Magpul makes a cheaper version called the MOE stock for about $59.00

Thanks

There's also the LMT SOPMOD. I'd happily run it, the CTR, the MOE, or the VLTOR. Or the UBR if I could find it...

Magpul is also supposed to release the ACS stock sometime in the future...looks pretty good, and will hopefully be in the price range of the VLTOR...

I use VLTOR EMod and Magpul MOE stucks. the EMOD has a bit more weight and bulk but also gives a better cheek weld and has storage for batteries. the MOE is very light and is 1/3 of the cost.

Forgot to mention...if at all possible, search out examples of the stocks in the real world to check them out.

I HATE having to order anything sight unseen...

I am also a big fan of the CTR . I don't care much for the regular adjustable stocks and the way they rattle and shake.
