Hi All:
I just got an M&P Shield 2.0 in 45. I really like the gun BUT I can't stand the magazine base plate for the 7 round mag. It was very stiff so I took it apart to lube the spring and had a hell of a time getting it back together.
I've looked into the Hyve base plate extension replacement, which seems pretty simple - the way it should be. I'd like to know if anyone has experience with them, and anything good or bad to say about them. OR if there's another brand that does the same thing.

Thanks for replies

I've carried the Hyve Technologies +2 baseplate on my Shield 1.0 8 rounder for the past two years.
Been perfect, no FTF, looks good, adds a nice amount of length to the too short for my hand 8 rounder. Highly recommended.
I also have a MagGutz + 2 also in a Shield 8 rounder and it works fine but I like the Hyve extension better because of the
added length.

I just bought and installed (2) Hyve +2 extensions on LCP2 magazines. They fit on just fine and look nice. I have not had a chance to get them to the range, but I see no reason why they won't work just fine.

I have a pair of Hyve extended magazines for my Glock 36. They are well built and work well, admittedly one had a mag spring hanging up into the extenstion that I had to fix.

They are kind of slick to grip, though. I really ought to add some grip tape to the extension. Both for shooting and pulling from a magazine holster.

I have a Hyve +1 on my G42 and G36. I think they are the best aftermarket +1 out there.
