I have a friend who is willing to sell me some of his handguns for what he could get on dealer trade in value. If someone could help me blue book these guns I would appreciate it. All guns are in excellent condition with 1-50 rounds through them.

S&W model 642
S&W model 586 .357 4" barrell blued
S&W model 66 .357 2.5" barrell SS
Taurus Judge 3" barrell SS
Taurus PT 92 AF
Taurus Millennium PT 111 Pro
IWI "Baby Eagle" .45
IWI "Baby Eagle" .40
Browning Buckmark .22 5.5" Bull

Thanks for any help

If he is an honest friend then you will get more than a fair deal. Dealer trade in value would be well under the actual resale value. The dealer would only take Andrade in at a price he could then mark up so he can make a profit.

If you friend is offering you a true dealer trade in. Go ahead and take the ones you like and can afford.

If you are questioning if his offers are truly trade in prices. Check sights like gunbroker and gunsamerica and see what the selling prices of the used ones are going for. His offers should be well under that.

To price a gun I generally go on budsgunshop.com and find the price. They are kind of like the Wal-mart of guns. Add in associated costs like shipping/handling (usually none in the case of Bud's) and FFL transfer fee to get a good ballpark figure.

Used guns should be cheaper than the above prices you arrive at (keep the above price in mind though; if all I save is $25 on a $400 used gun I might just buy new). Additionally, "dealer prices" should be even lower, since dealer's often lowball offers as they need to pay the bills too.

Something like 50% of Bud's price (+ $25 for FFL) would probably be a very good deal.

As has been said, gunbroker.com is a good place to look up prices, especially used prices, but make sure you find auctions that have actual bids. Many times I see guns priced high, but no bids (for obvious reasons).
