So recently i decided to build a 338-303British wildcat and am needing some more specs on the cartridge. Only info i can seem to find is in a book called Wildcat Cartridges published by wolfe publishing in 1995. Anyone have this book or info on the 338-303? Thanks

You need to read about ken waters 338/303 wildcat, and I Believe the true name for this cartridge is 338/303 epps. I am thinking that the water capacity of the 338/303 is the same as the 338 federal but the 338 federal being a much higher preasure round, so the minimum load would be close to your maximum.. be cautious, and load at your own risk. I am not a Reloading Manual..

Yes i know i need to read about it.. thats why im looking for the book. And I believe this 338-303 to be differant than the epps cartridge being that Mr Epps used a .. well i guess Ackley type shoulder conversion on his cartridges. And as for Pressure levels This is in a P14 action... Brass is my only weak spot so ill play with loads.

Ok, Go to NitroExpress Forums searching for 338-303....they talk of using the 338 fedaral but reducing load data by 20% for use in the 338-303. Good luck... by the way I have a 303 epps and its a real nice shooter the shoulder sharply rounded like a 300 weatherby..
