I recently got a nice stainless single shot NEF in .45Colt/.410. It has a 20" barrel on it. It's a rifled barrel, for the .45 and, of course, you can shoot the .410 in it, with a choke tube.
How much can I expect to see out of this gun in .45? Will it handle hot hunting loads? Is there a certain load that it is best suited for?
This isn't drilled for a scope, so I guess it's limited by my eyesight(which gets shorter every year), but for just $110 at a local pawn shop it seemed like alot of fun for not too much money. I'm sure I'll spend more then that in ammo pretty easily.
Thanks.

I don't know too much about the performance of the "Lord's Cartridge" ( 45LC) but I hope you are set up for reloading if you want to do a lot of shooting with it. Brother-in-law has a piece that uses the 45LC and that stuff is expensive. Reloading makes it a very reasonable priced cartridge to shoot if you can find primers.

I have a couple Cowboy Action Shooting friends who load their own. They've told me they would help anytime I needed it.
As popular as the round is, you would think it would be a little more reasonable.
