Last week on The Outdoor Channel, either Guns and Ammo, American Rifleman or the Shooting Gallery program I think, had a segment about a "new" .22 ammo specifically designed for semi-autos. Higher muzzle velocity, "guaranteed" cycling etc.

I was about to write down the information, thinking I'd give it a try in one of my Marlin Model 60s, when the wife called me away from the TV whining about a flooded basement and a broken sump pump or some other petty issue.

Did anyone else catch the segment or note the ammo brand and type?

I seem to remember the packaging was one of those small one-half pint "milk carton" style boxes. I think it was black and held about 300 rounds?

I tried over at Rimfire Central, but nobody seems to have seen it.

Has anyone tried them? It would be a great field report.....
I would do it, but haven't seen them at all in the local shops...

FederalAutomatch .22lr has be come the only .22lr ammo that I buy. This stuff works great. I have had zero ammo problems since I started using it exclusivley in my guns. I use it in my Kimber .22 conversion and my Ruger 10-22 (wich is very picky about the ammo it likes). The ammo is very accurate in my conversion kit. So I would give this ammo a huge thumbs up.
