I always thought that I would never be able to run 22 quiet ammo reliability through a semi auto, until I tried it through a Winchester model 190 and that wasntwthe case. It'll actually run the ammo reliability from my experience as long as the gun isn't super dirty. If it is extremely dirty every other round won't cycle. Just something to put out there for all of those people who think the CCI quiet won't run reliably in a semi auto it will work on some. The reason why I think this gun is able to run these is because I can shoot longs and long rifle, so I believe that those semi autos that can shoot more than just the long rifle it may work too.

When I owned a Beretta Neos Carbine, it would cycle CCI Quiets, too.

I figured it had something to do with the slide and springs being for a handgun length barrel, but working with the 16+" barrel of the Carbine Kit installed.

I never thought to try the quiets in the 4.5" handgun barrel. Too late now as I don't have a Neos or Carbine Kit anymore. :ninja:

The CCI quiet works 100% in my open bolt semi auto Voere 2005. I also get 100% reliability with CCI .22 short CB in my browning SA-22 which is chambered .22 short only.

They both have threaded barrels and are the quietest two guns I own when combined with a suppressor.

There's not much point, they are not very quiet in the short barrel. I was after a coon in my suburban dwelling last year and was trying out the quiets in my Marlin 60, they shot well enough for the job at hand, not nearly as accurate as CCI standards. I did have to cycle the action BTW. What blew me away was the muzzle blast, a faint puff. All the noise was the bullet hitting the 2x6 I was using for a target. After an excursion in the attic with the rifle I realized it was entirely to unwieldy for such cramped quarters and resorted to using the "quiets' in my S&W 6" model 17. Definitely not quiet.

My Remington 550-1 eats everything, with the sole exception of BB caps. Never see those anyway.

Did not work in PPKS, 10-22, 2nd model Sport Woodsman. So what? Great in 24 Savage, CZ Varmint, and all my revolvers. Three woodchucks, two coons can verify.

I'll buy a box to try out in my 10/22 & 22/45. I doubt if they will cycle the pistol, the carbine, maybe. I like shooting the 40 gr,710 fps ones from my Winchester 9422. From that rifle, they are as it states on the box "quiet" and are quite accurate out to about 25/30 yards. The only problem I have with this kind round is they ricochet real easily.

only tried cci quiet 22lr once in a ruger sr22, fired ok but not enough oomph to feed the next round. i gave up and enjoyed the rest of the quiets out of a ruger bearcat that day.

Thanks for the link about the new CCI Quiet ammo. Will have to get some and give it a try in my Beretta Model 70S, Ruger Single Six, and my Ruger 10/22.

A few semi autos will cycle them. Most won't.

my 6" NEOS cycles CCI Quiets as long as it's not too crudded up. They're ridiculous with a suppressor.

Obviously won't be a problem in the Single six, although they're still gonna bark, especially with a cylinder gap. The 10/22 and Beretta I can promise you won't cycle properly. My 10/22 postie won't even kick them out enough to stovepie, let alone fully cycle, nor has any other 10/22 I've tried them in, including an integrally suppressed Charger I just did for a guy with a stock bolt. If adding the backpressure of a can won't do it......

I also have a model 71, which is the same for all practical purposes, and while it's my favorite .22 pistol suppressor host, it doesn't even think about cycling Quiets. But because it won't open the breech, they're stupid quiet suppressed.

Thanks for the info regarding the CCI Quiet ammo. Tried looking for some yesterday but couldn't find any. Probably will just order some online.

They cycle a 6 inch neos reliably. They also work in p22 and sig mosquito.

The new quite for semi-autos isn't out yet.
They said it wouldn't be released until spring
