Ive been wanting a semi auto 22 for a while. I was planning on getting a ruger mark IV but came across a used Buckmark Hunter this morning at the lgs in great condition with soft case and all the paperwork for it $370. Decided it was coming home with me.
My only other .22 handgun is a heritage rough rider I got on clearance a few years back, after a few months on the trapline with me last winter it doesn’t have much finish left on the frame or grip but it did a fine job, and dispatched over 40 predators last season.
I shot the buckmark when I got it home. I was very impressed with the trigger on it. Especially compared to the stock trigger that comes on a ruger mark iv.
I ran about 150rnds through it with a few different brands without a single hiccup. I’m way more of a revolver shooter so I was happy with the groups I was able to shoot. Looks like I may need to adjust my sight

And this is mini mags at 15yds

It’s a fun gun to shoot, wish I had gotten one earlier.

That's a great pistol at a great price and nice shooting too. My wife never liked shooting until I bought us a Buckmark Stainless Camper and she loves that pistol which gave her confidence in her shooting abilities and she also has her own 9MM pistol now, A Smith and Wesson EZ Shield Performance Center 9MM.

that’s 50 yards! NICE!

always love the look of the Buckmark!

put a reddot and watch that group go to ZERO inches

Yes sir 50 yards measured with a range finder. Come to think of it that might be the best 50 yard group I’ve ever shot. I wasn’t sure if it was me or the gun shooting to the right but as I m writing this response I looked at the rear sight it looks like it’s cranked a good ways to the right to compensate for the previous owners shooting.

Buckmarks are nice pistols. The OP got a good one.

I shoot mostly centerfire as I can reload at comparable prices as factory RF. But I like shooting my Ruger Single Six and S&W k-frame 22 RF revolvers periodically.

Enjoy the Buckmark

When I bought my buckmark I could not decide between the Ruger or the Browning and the only reason I bought the Browning was that with the URX grips the gun had, felt great in my hands. Both guns are equally accurate and reliable and personally do not consider one better than the other and I own both now. You will find that the browning is an animal and will eat up any ammo you feed it. Congratulations on your purchase and that is some good shooting at 50 yards, I see that rabbits won't be safe around you .

hows the trigger on the buck mark?
Feels like someone took a ruger and put another $200 in parts into it. I don’t think this buckmark needs any upgrades at all.
The Only thing I may do is get some kind of dot sight for it to try as I’ve never had a pistol with an optic.

please folks don’t think I dislike ruger, A large percentage of the guns I own are rugers and can’t wait to find another blackhawk or single six

I know the older Ruger’s were a pain to disassemble and reassemble to clean and they fix that with the MK lV . How much trouble is it to disassemble and reassemble the Browning .

I have to give Buckmark a shot!

Good choice. My Buck Mark is my most accurate handgun. I shoot it a little better than my Ruger Marks. After my friend shot mine, he bought himself one.

Be careful on the field strip. There's a little spring that can pop out and be hard to find when you take the allen bolts out.

Nice score. I have that exact model and that's a good price. The integral rail is nice and if I ever do any small game handgun hunting, I will use this.

Get a couple of recoil buffers to have on standby. Especially if you're planning on shooting it a whole lot. They are known to wear out over time. Watch those disassembly screws, too. Enjoy!
