All discussed guns here are great guns... can't really go wrong with any of them.

My prefs are for the Hi-Power for SA and the new Beretta PX4 for DA/SA. I've had HP's for years (with trigger jobs) and LOVE them! Especially in forty.

My Beretta PX4 has been with me for just a month or so now and I guess I've probably put about 500 rounds through it with perfect performance in every way. I REALLY like this gun... and eighteen rounds on tap with stock mags. (My highest cap gun so far.) The PX4 is now the gun that sees the most light of day outside my safe!

small update: haven't purchased anything yet, still debating.

however, I did handle the CZ75-SA in a gunshop recently, and think I'll skip it. The grip just didn't feel nearly as good as the CZ compact, and the safety didn't agree with my thumb for whatever reason.

I have a friend with a MKIII BHP and a G19, I think I'll borrow both of those from him (he's a lawyer, too busy to shoot unfortunately) and see what I like best.

I re-read this thread and man there is some good advice to be had on this forum!

If you are comfortable with your grip on the glock and plan to keep it for concealed carry then I would go with the G19. At least that way when you shoot either under pressure you will have consistancies with your draw, grip, sight acquisition, gun functions, etc.

welp, finally made my choice:cool:

brand new CZ85B, great price brand new, I'm super happy, can't wait to shoot it:D

Smart move and a great pistol. I have an older 85 combat "1988" pre B. Love it, great pistol and you guys get great prices on them.

Let us know how it shoots.

Take Care

Rob:

I am not a Glock hater like some I dont really like them but know of their reliability. With that said if that is what you shoot and like go for another glock. Since this is for HD I think it is important to stay consistent.

Good Luck

EDIT oops saw you had already made your choice to be honest CZ has caught my eye as well they seem to be another great gun made from across the pond. I still believe in the thought I had above but dont think you will be disapointed. You just need to make sure you practice equally with each gun.

Great choice Rob. You will love it. Now get the lighter weight PCR or P-01 for carry.

Pilot- I already am, this thing points so well (especially compared to the austrian stuff)....only bad thing is the compact models arent exactly lefty friendly.

I'll be getting a Kadet kit as soon as funds allow, and then give my dad my ruger MKII (which he LOVES), so that will be nice as well.

That's great Rob. The Kadet Kit was going to be my other recommendation. I love mine and it fits on my PCR as well as 75B. Yeah, the lefty thing must be frustrating. My wife is left handed and ended up going with a revolver.

cz SP-01 maybe? or SP-01 Tactical

I sure want one myself and have no experience with it but own a 75b.

Look it up on the website.

19 round capacity, a BETTER grip than the cz75 (I'm not sure if this is possible but that is what they say), p-01 reliability, legendary cz accuracy, Enough weight to make it a fun range pistol.

Has a rail that you can use or ignore. Check it out. Buy one, tell me how I can't live without it. Is is czexy!

Edit: Opps, I see you bought an 85. Nice choice!
