New addition- CZ97B

What is that supposed to do for you?
It’s a joke that the pistol comes with a bushing wrench. Mine was so loose, that you could chuck it up and down at least .010”, and then the barrel fit to the bushing was loose also. Maybe I got a poorly fitted example, but the E bushing will fix all of that.

Personally I hate those alloy grips. Good looking but provide zero traction or grip.

I've been bugging LOK grips to start making their brass grips for the 97. Brass on my shadow 2 and 75 have a completely different feel and the balance point is moved back and in.

I was wanting a CZ97B for a long time, but it never happened. I got this Sar K2 45, and kind of forgot about the 97:
So far, about 500 rounds and flawless. But I will have a CZ97 one day. If CZ would make it in SS, I would lust for it.

I only shot it single action today and double action when dry firing. Neither one of them were bad based upon my uncalibrated finger. Hard core pistoleros might find a reason to disagree with my assessment
The 97 is a great gun, at LEAST the equal of the 75-based guns, IMO. I think you'll like it more and more as you put additional rounds through it. I highly recommend installing the CGW Ultra Lite Kit in it. That's a huge bang for the buck (compared to some of the more expensive packages) and improves the trigger pulls noticeably. It also makes the slide easier to rack, not that that's a problem of a factory-stock gun, but it's just a nice benefit.

If one went with a SAO conversion, Pre B sear and race hammer, you'd have a trigger that beats most 1911s.
True. I put the CGW SAO trigger, Race Hammer Kit, and Ultra-Lite Kit along with the CZ Pre-B short reset (CGW makes a similar piece for the B guns with the firing pin block), in my 85 Combat and it indeed has a great trigger now. The trigger is nice and light with a total fore-and-aft range of motion that's within the thickness of the trigger. I (and most people) can shoot the factory trigger just fine, but eliminating the characteristic camming-back (the race hammer kit essentially does this) just makes it much nicer, IMO. The parts that I have in this gun are essentially the Pro Kit, but I arrived at it in a different way.

let us know what you think of the upgrades when you get it to the range
Will do! I’m 170 miles away camping, was going to take it with me but the slide was delayed in shipping:( My Son grabbed it off the front porch for me.

I just bought a CZ-97BD. It was more than I wanted to pay, but the other gun in the store was a standard CZ-97 with the 1911 style safety and I wanted a decocking safety. As a bonus, this more expensive gun came with night sights. I had a SIG 220 and it was a very nice gun, but the recoil was just more than I wanted to deal with. I wanted a gun that weighed at least 2 pounds or more for comfort and a double action/single action or double action only trigger.
I will see how it shoots, then next time I go to the range.

Funny story about my CZ 75 9mm! My Son and I were at the range with a brand new, unfired gun, first mag at 25’, shooting at a paper plate with a 3/4” Orange target spot to aim at. First shot, we can’t believe I missed the paper plate!!! Can’t even see a hit on the target backer! I reel in my target to find I hit a perfect dead center hit on the Orange spot, that happened to have a black square in the center! Couldn’t see it from 25’ lol
