Hi there, everyone.

I just made a new addition to the family, a brand spankin' new XD-9sc!

I detailed my search for a double stack sub-compact 9mm in the thread blow. The short list was a S&W M&P9c, Glock 26, and the XD.

I ended up trading away my Kel-Tec P3AT and S&W 638 towards this gun, and I'm glad to have a piece that I'll actually shoot now. I went with a local guy who had it for a good price $489.

So how'd I do?

^ Yeah, he had an XDm 9 compact sitting right next to it for about $110 more. I just don't need/want the extra features, and it was slightly longer due to the longer barrel. XDm was nice, don't get me wrong, but the vanilla XD fits me just fine.

So I was able to shoot my new acquisition this evening, and here are my thoughts.

Pros
-Great trigger for a poly pistol
-Much more accurate than I am
-Sights, I prefer them to my Glock 17
-Extended mag makes it feel like a full-size grip
-200 rounds, 115gr and 124gr, 0 malfunctions

Cons
-loading the last few rounds into the 13 round mag is BRUTAL
-that's about it for now!

And now for the TARGETS:

7 yards

15 yards

25 yards

Not too bad for a first outing I think. I'll be the first to admit that things kind of broke down at 25 yards. :neener:

Have a Bi-Tone XD9sc. It rocks!!!! Accurate, reliable, great ergo's, nice trigger, 16 round back up mags, 13+1 standard mags. What's not to love?
