Anyone try any of the Guatemalan 5.56mm AIM is selling? I'm looking for some cheap practice ammo for my AR and that might fit the bill...

I haven't tried it (my order should be here sometime this week), but reports on AR15.com seem to be that it is hit or miss in terms of outside appearance. One guy got an order that looked like pristine polished brass and perfect ammo, and a couple of guys posted pics of some that looked like it had been sitting in salt water. Overall those guys seem to think it is a pretty good deal either way, and the corroded stuff reportedly shot fine.

I've ordered two cases of this stuff. The first one was the "salt water" variety, but it shot just fine. And after cleaning the brass for reloading, found that there is nothing wrong with it. The second case arrived and it is absolutely perfect looking. So either way its not bad stuff.
