Couldn't decide if this should be here or the Competition sub-forum, move if needed.

My newest AR blaster. Built primarily as a lightweight but inexpensive AR for Truck/UTV and for local short range carbine matches. Several of the local clubs like to have carbine matches where they basically recycle the USPSA or IDPA stages, make some minor changes and throw in some half size USPSA targets in a few places and let everyone run their ARs. My old 20-in AR built for 3-gun was a bit awkward on the really tight stages. Built the rifle a few weeks ago. Sighted it in last weekend and shot my first match with it yesterday. Small local club but I managed high overall despite shooting the whole match with Silver Bear ammunition. No malfunctions in the ~145 rds fired.

It was built from some blem parts and other spare parts I had laying around. I bough the red-dot new, specific for this build.

Rifle Specs: Bushmaster Upper/Lower and 16-inch pencil barrel with low-pro gas block and AAC 51T Brakeout muzzle device (Stamp Pending). Generic mil-spec receiver extension (don't remember where I got it). Mil-spec style semi-auto fire-control (From PSA in a lower kit I used on another build). IIRC it's a DPMS bolt carrier group. Mission First Tactical Minimalist Stock, 7" KeyMod Handguard & BUIS. Magpul MOE Grip. Vortex Spark AR red-dot. Unloaded weight 6-lb 6.5-oz.
