I am interested in getting a new rifled barrel for my Remington 870P.
I noticed that Mossberg makes barrels for the 870, are these reasonable?
Which barrels would you recommend?

Hasting Paradox Rifling Barrels are said to be more accurate, have not used one though.

I have a Hastings barrel on my Rem. 870 12 ga. My son has a Mossberg barrel on his Mossberg 500. His Mossberg shoots rings around my Remington. As always, every gun and every barrel is different.

I would recommend any of the three Hastings, Remington, or Mossberg but if your shotgun is going to pull double duty and you will be switching out barrels go for a cantilever mount model if you plan to scope it.

I have a 24in Mossberg rifled barrel on a 12ga 500, and a 24in Remington rifled barrel on a 870 express 20ga and they are both pretty darn accurate with Winchester partition gold sabots. My Mossberg 12ga shoots the Winchester's a little better than the Hornady's but not to the point I wouldn't use the SST's. I haven't tried the Hornady SST's in my 20ga but I would think it would shoot them good too.

My stepfather put a Hastings on his 870 this year and it shoots really well with Hornady's SST's. So from my personal experience they are all good barrel's and anyone of them should make you happy and be accurate if you find the right shells that it likes.
