Hiya Guys :).
I picked up a new to me Bersa Thunder this morning from a friend for $240 for my new edc. It has the Mauser Model 98 action with the decocker & 3 dot sights. It's a 7+1 single stack model so it's thinner than the Thunder Plus I had, so it should easily disappear without printing. The trigger isn't excellent, but it's not half bad . The double action pull is probably 8-9 pounds but it"s smooth, and the single action is probably 5.5 lbs with a decent break. In the end it should work out well for edc ;) ...

I used to have the CC version of that-- a little thinner and nearly nonexistent sights-- and liked the way it handled. Handy tip: don't polish the feed ramp; that pattern on it is supposed to be there.

Michael T should be along in a while to congratulate you (he has a Bersa discussion forum).

Thanks, I had a Bersa Thunder Plus double stack 14+1 model that I've been kicking myself in the butt for letting it go a while back, even if it was for a Turkish 1911. It was so much easier for edc than my full (duty) size auto's even though that's what I prefer. So, I set out on a mission to find another Bersa Thunder which resulted in this one.

I carry the matte black BT380 90% of the time. It makes a great carry piece. The beaver tail sticks out a little, but unless you carry forward of 3:00 that shouldn't be a problem.

Great buy, I love and carry my Thunder Plus all the time, when I am not working at school, been looking at a single stack like that. Great firearms even my 14 year old daughter likes to shoot it.

Bought one used in 2008. I was stunned at how hard it was to get it to malfunction, no matter with what ammunition I put in it, even mixed-load magazines with stuff ranging from 20-year old aluminum-cased stuff to newer, cheap "practice" ammo. Always shot well and where I expected it to.

I carried it exclusively for two years, then stumbled across a Kel-Tec PF9 for a good price, and that gun took over. However, the Bersa is much more pleasant to shoot well, and I do still have it.

Hi guy's :),
So I took advantage of the decent ridin' weather here in the valley and rolled into Boise to pick up a spare mag for the Versa. I picked up a nice ambidextrous Bulldog thumbreak holster, some Fiocchi shells & a bottle of bright fluorescent orange fingernail polish. I set up the holster the way that I prefer them, and it quickly disappears in the small of my back & the left breast pocket of my riding vest for a right hand cross draw.

That is the same holster I use. :)

Kool, they're great versatile inexpensive holsters & they're not dedicated or the left or right hand, so you can set them up anyway you like I set mine up left hand for a right hand draw from the small of my back or my riding vest. I use the belt loop for owb & the metal clip for iwb & my ridin' vest.

I bought my Wife a Bersa Thunder about five years ago ... it was a little "rough" in the action but never failed to feed and shoot and SHOOT it does ... hers is really accurate and really easy to shoot ...

After a couple hundred rounds it has "slickened" up and fairly smooth now ... still no failures of any kind ... did I say this thing will shoot!

I only wish I could shoot my LCP anywhere as good as the Thunder shoots ... it is a little big for pocket carry or really small carry like the LCP ...

But for the $$$ .... I love it and enjoy shooting it .... now that I reload for the .380 .... it is no problems to pop a 100 rounds using the Hornady 90 gr XTP , some AA#5 and the cheap S&B SP .... does a great job .... TiteGroup also works very well and is cheaper than the AA#5.....

I carried mine for 3+ years right after I got my CHL. In a DeSantis front pocket holster. It worked fine.

When my wife of 40 + years, who had never shown an interest in shooting, told me last year she wanted to learn to shoot and get her LTC I was floored. Over six months we went to the range once a week with three or four of my handguns. She shot .32 & .38 S&W J & K frames & Ruger LCR's & SP 101's, Glocks in 9mm and .357 Sig, and Walther, Beretta & Bersa .380's. Out of all of those she was, by far, more consistent with the Bersa. It's hers now.

I have always kind of like Bersa's, to tell the truth. They seem to be well made, solid guns that also happen to have ergo's that work well for me. I don't own one, but I wouldn't hesitate to purchase one if the timing was right.

I bought two to them - one for each daughter that turned 21 some years ago. My youngest daughter's gun failed to fire on the first round. That was the only malfunction in some 800 rounds of fire. Bersa makes a solid .380. I would carry one if my Issuing Agency would allow another firearm on my permit. CA has some weird carry license laws.

Just yesterday bought Bersa Thunder Ultra Compact in 9mm, hope all that was said about that brand will be related to model I have.
