I just purchased this gun about 2 months ago and the firing pin is already broken.
I spoke with CS and they are back ordered yet they are telling me its not a common problem.

Question is can anyone here lead me to a machine shop that makes firing pins. I've searched online and I can't find anyone that sells them maybe because the BodyGuard 380 just came out a year ago?

I've searched online and it seems to be a common problem.
Any help much apreciated.
Thanks

It is under warrenty from S&W for the life of the owner.

I ain't buying "back ordered", cause they make all the parts themselves.
Call them back, tell them it's two months old, tell them the problem again, and demand they fix it.
Or replace it with a new gun ASAP and let them wait on the parts.

And request a call tag for pick-up.

It won't cost you a cent.

This is my first time dealing with their CS and I am not happy. The first time I called they said they were going to overnight it. 3 days pass by and nothing so I called and asked what's going on and the rep said they messed and he is going to overnight it. 2 days pass by and nothing Again so I called and the third rep said said that they are on back order. I called again they said they were going to call me and they never did.

This incident is the first time I've had to deal with their CS and I azm not happy at all.
This is my first semi from SW and I truly love this gun.
Tomorrow I will call again and I'm gonna have to demand something. I don't know what else to do. This is my EDC and right now its my everyday rock to throw at somebody.
Maybe if I just pint the laser ill scare the bad guy.
Maybe I'm just not having the good CS that most get.
Thanks

What model number is the gun?? It will be much easier to find parts with a model number rather than a "nick name"!!!

Good Luck

I have a BG .380 with no problems. But I've only put 100 rounds through it. I use it as my ankle gun.

S&W customer service

I've had good and bad with them. Mostly good.
I guess it depends upon the person you get on the phone.

One of the best fellows over there told me to "Demand that S&W fix the gun themselves because it's a safety issue, and it's backup for my duty gun."

Apparently they are instructed to respond to the phrase 'safety' and also 'duty gun'. And it sure is both, if it's your everyday carry, isn't it?

Give it a try.

Okay SW called today and apologized for the dilemma and promised one shipped out today.
So well see.
Like I said I truly love this gun and want it back in service.

Well they called today and a rep said it was going to be overnighted for tomorrow.
Today FedEx came and left me a surprise. A new firing and boy was I happy.
So did come through and maybe tomorrow I will receive another one? I would love to have a spare just in case. Well see
Thanks:)
