New Bond gun, VP9?

Product placement can't possibly be more aggressive than in prior films, such as "Casino Royale: brought to you by Aston Martin" and "Skyfall: brought to you by Sony VAIO."

It may be a Bond gun but that doesn't necessarily mean that it is Bond's gun. Typically he picks up and uses whatever is at hand if his own gun is out of play.

Guns and Hollywood...

As posted, yes even firearms are sold or marketed in Hollywood films & TV.
Para USA recently sent out media releases & made PR statements expressing regret over the handguns they provided to the Liam Neeson action film: Taken 3 (2014). :uhoh:
Neeson's anti gun and strong anti 2A beliefs really upset the execs at Para USA.
I read a entertainment trade article too about how Beretta USA paid a hefty fee for the actors in the military drama: Lone Survivor(2014) to use M9s/92FSs not SIG Mk25/P226Rs or 1911s as most "tier one" military special ops use. It's a minor point but many veterans and gun owners noticed it.

PS; I worked on a low budget thriller in 2013, one of the actors playing a police chief has a Cabot Arms 1911a1 .45acp model(Cabot Arms provided the prop). The actor holds the pistol in a few scenes with the 1911a1 hammer down,, I pointed this out to my friend(a producer on the film). He said; "yeah but it was a safety issue, no one will notice".

FYI:
-Actors like LN aren't good enough on their own to not be liberal. Only the better actors can say "no comment", or conservative things, and survive Hollyweird. I know a certain nasty cultish awlful rockstar that's a conservative Christian. It's all fake. Many people would act like cornballs on stage for a price. It stinks. And it was Para's last attempt to be relative to the world as they silently go out of biz at last. Were all better off that they're gone.

-a Sony Vaio is what I pick for all my secret agent missions

I also would have guessed some sort of Walther as Bond has used a variety of Walther's over the years.
