I usually never sell or trade anything but I had this Colt 1991A1 that was still a good shooter but really needed some work done for me to be happy with it, well rather than spend a bunch of money on it I decided to sell it and spend the money it would have taken to refurbish to buy a new one already the way I wanted.

And the new Colt 1991A1

I’m much happier.

Congratulations! You probably noticed already that the new one is built quite a bit better too.

Without going too in depth as to the stupidity of my younger years, let’s just say this was my first 1911 and at the time I was going through my do it my self gunsmith phase.

The slide had real bad holster wear on it's parkerized finish so I polished the flats and tried to blue it my self, it didn't turn out to well.

I’m now a strong supporter of back ground checks and a minim age restrictions for dremel tools and bluing kits.
