My wife had never fired a gun of anykind until she met me 6 1/2 years ago while I was serving in the marines. After many years of practice and familiarity training, with very little pressure from me, she decded on her own that she wanted to get her CCW. She studied some firearms training material that I gave her, took a couple of classes, I gave her a couple of pistols, and she turned in her application, went to her interview, etc. Saturday afternoon it came! My wife is now packing, and i couldn't be prouder!

Now her Dad has decided that he will go after his!

Very nice!!!!!!!

Tell her to join us on THR, we could use her I'm sure. Influence and input from the fairer sex is always welcome.

 ! One more woman that refuses to be a victim. You are to be commended for getting her there. Glad to hear about her dad's interest, too!:)

Now I have a problem! she is staking her claim on all of my favorite firearms, and her dad wants to use My P95 in an upcoming training class!!! I guess it could be worse!!!

My wife has occasionally visited this site with me to read som posts that were applicable to her, but she is not much for the internet. I will see if I can get her to pay us a visit soon.

Unfortunatley for most, it does take connections in CA to get a CCW. I am not technically an LEO, and neither is my wife, let's just say I am in the Nuclear Security industry, and my wife deals with a lot of people associated with the bad side of the Dept. of Corrections. I believe that more CA resident would have their CCW's if they simply attempted to get them, but most feel its not worth the effort, and hoops one must jump through. I am lucky, hopefully in the near future CA will be a Shall issue state, but for now, I am praying for the rest of the PRC's residents, my only hope, is that someone with a CCW is nearby when you need them!
