New CVA Bobcat....

But new folks to front stuffers probably don’t know that. I didn’t for a long while, so I felt like it would be nice to make that point so that it doesn’t get missed. Remember, new folks are new, and the things that may seem obvious to veteran shooters are not so obvious to new folks.

I agree, but it said so on the item description when I bought mine. Not trying to argue, just throwing in my experiences.

That’s probably why I didn’t know. I got all of my stuff secondhand except for a gun, and the gun I bought was absolute junk. My neighbor gave me a full setup of his used gear and he even bought some new stuff just to give me old stuff. Either way, it’s out there now. Pour spouts can be used for volumetric measurement.

That is absolutely fair, I honestly hadn't thought of that. Yeah, mines a tresco with a 15 grain spout. Only reason I know that is because I bought it new.

Well, I got my first box o'goodies from Midway, round ball for the fire stick and the .44 revolver, slicked up patches for the fire stick, cleaning stuff, brass flask w/30 gr. spout, adjustable powder measure, bore butter and a ball starter. Still waiting on the FFg powder and the nipple wrenches from Track of the Wolf. Should be able to make some noise in a few days!!
How many of you all pour yer own round ball?

What nipple is on the Bobcat... and why did you change it?
Whoops- missed this

Nothing special. A 6.1 stainless nipple I
had in my box. After you shoot enough,
any steel percussion nipple gets battered
down and needs to be replaced. If you let
em go too long, they'll eventually peen the
hole closed, and even if you were to dress
the peened down area the nipple would
be shortened by the displacement of the
metal and would start to misfire.

The T/C does have a musket nipple on it
