After buying my son a scout, I felt I had to get a CZ for me too! Just picked a .22lr up tonight. Too bad the Mueller APV didn't make it here in time for tomorrows range run. Just got all the junk cleaned out, and everything lubed, and oiled up.

Thanx,
My seven year old can shoot 5 shots in a ragged 10 hole on a good day from the 100 yrd bench with his scout.
I hope the American can shoot near as well!

A very good choice.

From my experience, the American will handily beat out the Scout.

Yep, especially since a 5 mph difference in cross wind will cause a horizontal deflection of nearly 2.5 inches at 100 yards for a standard "high velocity" .22 LR round.

Like I said "on a good day". We do use large targets with the little guy. He's still learning!:) This little gun is a blast to shoot. Here's him and his 100yd. target from the other day.

I have 2 Americans. One in 17HMR and HM2. My 10yrold stepson was shooting with me yesterday and shot my last 4rds of HM2 into a cluster at 50yds that was equal to my best group at the same distance. He had to stand up because the bench was too high. I was shocked. The next day he went 3 for 3 shooting at a homemade steel post we made. Its 4in wide and he hit it at 100yds with my 30-06. I was really impressed.

Very nice choice of rifle , the CZ s are a impessive value. Interestly in my years of observation most younger kids with "interest" and a little bit of proper guideance shoot very well by adult standards. My guess it is they take a very simple approach and repeat it and presto it works. Fine shooting by the young man and , congrads on very special time shared together.
