2 and a half years ago I started building my "green gun" (to go with the "blue gun", "brown gun" "black gun", etc) in this thread http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=426185. Truth be told, I just got a good deal on some parts I found at camp perry when ARs got cheap after the post-obama madness, then I got a little carried away with duracoat 
By the end of the year it looked like this (actually, the color is magpul's foliage green and the color looks better in the pics on the bottom, but the color in the pics on the top looks off, though all of them look a little more 'lime' than it is in person)
Late last year I upgraded the stock from a CTR to a UBR, but still hadn't fired it. In fact, I didn't figure out what trigger I wanted until last week. Friday, UPS brought my new Geissele Super Dynamic 3 Gun trigger and I had it installed an hour later, then rushed to Atlanta to shoot the creekside sniper challenge Saturday.
Today, finally, I put a temporary scope on it and put 80 rounds through it.
(sorry the fuzzy pictures... dropped my iphone and the back shattered so pics have been fuzzy since then)
Anyways... I have to say, this is the sweetest shooting AR I've ever fired. I'm honestly pretty amazed. The combo of weight, rifle gas, H-buffer, and the comp is amazing. With the optic on 3.2x I don't even lose my sight picture shooting standing at 150 yrds and along with the super-fast doubletaps using the 3gun trigger... it's just amazing. Granted I only have 80 rounds through it so far... but I am excited.
The barrel is an 18" compass lake barrel w/ wylde chamber, rifle gas and a custom profile I requested. The upper is a colt m4 upper, bravoco BCG, LMT tac charging handle, vltor gas block and FSC556.
The lower an Essential Arms, with white oak LPK and the aforementioned Geissele Super Dynamic 3 gun trigger, and magpul grip and stock.
Sometime this summer, I will replace the scope with something more appropriate in the 1-10x or 1-8x range. I'm running the 3.2-17x as a 'secondary' weapon for the mammoth sniper challenge where you need to be able to spot trace and call corrections for your partner. So it's sort of temporary. I'm also going to have to put a bipod on it for that match, which will be temporary too.
