This is slightly off topic.

My wife and I went to the OB today for an ultrasound to see if we were having a boy or girl. We have a 6 yr old boy. Technically my stepson, but not viewed be any of us as such. Anyways the families are all hoping for a girl. We have already bought everything for the new little one, who should show up in about 4 months, accept clothes bedding and paint (for the walls). So what am I getting at.... Well we will be looking at boys names. We will be needing two of them. Yes, I for the first time in my life am really SCARED!! The good news is that I will be directly responsible for three future gun owners and hunters. I am already thinking of baby pictures with derringers.:D

Please help me I'm scared!!! And SO very excited!!!

Congratulations! I would avoid asking for name advice from the people here, as they'll probably want to name him something with the initials "jmb" :neener:

Think You are scared now, wait until thay become teen agers.
Dad........can we have the keys to the car?

DorGunR makes a good point. Be sure to bring them up shooting, so they'll have a well-developed sense of responsibility when it's time for them to learn to drive.

And Congratulations! :D

Congrats!!! I have twin boys myself. They are almost 2 1/2 now. William (Will) and Alexander (Alex). Not quite ready to shoot yet, but I can't wait.

Anyway you need names. Hmmm...
How about gun names..
Heckler and Koch?
Smith and Wesson?
John Moses and Eugene?
Mikhail and Hiram?

You are gonna be busy. Don't let anyone tell you how to do things. Do this, don't do that, etc. Twins are about SURVIVAL. Do your best, and they will be fine. Don't sweat the small stuff. My kids slept in swings for the first 6 months. A lot of parents would be horrified at that. Our Pediatrician, God Love her, is very practical. She said to relax and not worry about it. (She's Thai, and thinks a lot of Americans are way too uptight about how kids are raised. I think she's right. When people were more laid back and realistic, we didn't have Columbine. But that's a whole other topic).

Good Luck!!

Don't pass out cigars. Not PC you know. Give a box o' 22LRs instead. :D Congratulations to you and demissus.:D

Good luck.

And I think Mikhail and Eugene would turn out to be good names for a pair of shooters. If they survive middle school...

First of all, congrats!
As a father of two my advice: keep their names short. I strongly recommend "M" and "1":scrutiny:

Not a recommendation by any means, but all I can think of is the Bill Cosby story about his father calling Bill and his brother Russell, "Jesus Christ and dammit":neener:

Congrats on the new shooting partner!

Its normal to be scared, but no need to be. The human race has been doing the child-rearing thing for thousands of years. If you are not mentally or emotionally disabled, you can do it, too.

You'll have help from parents, friends, church, etc.

And just hink how much fun his first bulleye will be. And learning to read, Scout camps, learning to drive a stick shift, etc.

It'll be a blast.

Hearty congrats!

Raising 3 boys is a piece of cake. Raising twin girls...now THAT would be a scary prospect. :D ;)

(FWIW, I raised 3 of each.)
