I have been on a revolver binge for the last couple of years. I do not think I have bought an auto in two or three years, until yesterday. I had a Glock 21 that I bought back in '91 and sold a couple of years later. Worst gun mistake I ever made. It was the most accurate handgun I have ever owned. Was like an extension of my arm. I just could not miss with it. Well here it is twenty-one years later and many guns auto's and revolvers and I finally got another one. Now I own three Glocks, a 19,21, 27. I have not got to shoot this one yet. It appears to be a Generation 3. I bought it as a LEO so I got it out the door for $500. Anyone else on here a Glock 21 owner? What do you think of yours? I think my two favorite defense weapons are the AK-47 and the Glock pistol for many of the same reasons.

Have a 20, don't like it much. But that's exactly why I bought it; It can get marred up and it won't bother me. I get mad when I put a miniscule scratch on my pristine S&W 1006, Kimber ST II 10mm or Witness Limited 10mm.

That's no way to talk.

Glocks are great guns. I agree that I don't worry about using them, but I don't worry about using any of mine. If I had to be that particular about any of em I probably would not have them to begin with.

I've got a G21SF. With a lot of practice, I can now shoot my G19 just as well, for most practical purposes. But like you, I have always had the eerie feeling that I just can't miss with the G21, right from the start.

Due to the cost (and weight) of 45 ACP, it's become the closest thing to a safe queen that I own. Funny to call a Glock a safe queen, but it's the oldest gun in my collection. It has pulled off every crazy called shot I ever put it up to. It's been 100% reliable. And it has 99+% of its original finish, minus some very minor finish wear on the outside of the barrel. Back when it was my only handgun, I would bust soda cans from the hip at 25 feet with an approx 50% hit rate. I haven't done so well with my newer guns. I dunno if I'm getting old, or if it's the gun.

although i did try to carry mine for awhile, the G21 is and always will be my bedside gun. as far as im concerned there isnt a better pistol for the job, nitesites, 14rds of 185 gr silvertips and plenty accurate....sure does helps a guy sleep well at night.

congrats on a fine new firearm

Congrats on your reunion with the G21.
My favorite hd gun. I luv my G21!!!

I just got a G30 3rd gen and ccw it everyday.

Let us know how it shoots for ya.

Pics r always welcome :)

It is the only automatic handgun I own. It is the most accurate handgun I have ever fired and will not part with it again.

One thing I'll add is that I reload. And my G21 is the only semiauto I own for which I need to crimp all my ammo for it to drop freely in the chamber. All my other handguns in 9mm and 40SW, I don't crimp, at all. So the inherent accuracy might actually be better than my other Glocks due to a tighter chamber. And despite this, it's one of only 2 semiautos I own that has never malfunctioned.

I have to agree, my G21 is my favorite semiauto. Even though it does have a grip like a 2x4, it just seems to point very naturally for me and I shoot it particularly well.

glock 21

ive had the very first one it wasent too accurate....ive recently aquired a newer one and it was very accurate it has tru glo night sights on it and a 3.5 lb connector....big gun...but worth it...

Bah. The grip of the SF is incredibly ergonomic, IMO. A 1911 grip feels like a 2x4, in comparison. Or, I guess it would be more like a 1x4. :)

I have a Glock 21SF and I love it! I love it so much that I went out and bought a Glock
23 and a Glock 26. All of mine are third generation and I have shot hundreds of rounds
with them with only one misfeed that I can remember. Glocks are very reliable and
accurate. The only objection I have with the Glock design is the grip angle, I wish
it was more comfortable and angled more like the 1911.

I bought a 21SF as my second Glock. I also own a Gen4 G27, and my wife has Gen3 G27.
I really like the 21SF a lot eventhough I have only put about 50 rounds though it. It seems very accurate. It is just so much bigger than all of my other carry weapons. I have carried it once on a day when was very cold here in North Texas and was wearing a heavey coat. I was able to conceal the outside the waist band holster very well. I tried caring it with IWB holster and it was just to big for me.
I am confindent that the 21SF and I will develope a very good relationship.

Shot it yesterday.

I ran 65 rounds thru it yesterday in the yard. Shoots like a champ. I believe it is as accurate as the first one I had in 91. I just ain't as good anymore. I can see me working on that though. I used to shoot all the time but just have not been doing so for the last couple of years. I plan to put some more rounds down range today. I tell you the Glock 21 just feels good to shoot. I have massive hands so the grip fits me well. Mine is the standard flavor. I actually held both the 21 and 21sf at the gun shop and the standard just felt better to me. It may be that is just the grip I remember and was used too.

My 21sf was a great .45acp. Nothing better IMO for 13+1 of .45 goodness. Congrats.
