Folks, this is one nice shootin' reliable and accurate firearm. No two ways about it. I shot 150 230gr FMJ from CCI, UMC and Win along with 50 UMC JHP 230gr with not one (or any) malfunction of any sort whatsoever. The polymer frame really soaks up the recoil of the heavy rounds as well. Finally, I get a good 45 out of the box for a change!

As time goes by..................

you will like the G30 even more. Great shooter and, with some care as to holster, it is a very good CCW as well. Good shooting;)

You just screwed up! I did the same. The 30's a terrific little pistol. The next thing I knew the 36 was calling my name seductively. I couldn't resist. It also is one hell of a little pistol. If you can get by with only 7 rounds, it's worth putting on your list. I now have both.

G30 was my first major acquisition. Tremendous sidearm. The accuracy and reliability is excellent right out of the box. I am well pleased to carry it often and use it as my primary home defense handgun. The only auto that I have not had to do any modification/tweaking/coaxing/praying on.
It is one auto that my entire family can shoot if need be.

The most important thing to remember about the 30......

When you go shooting.....take lots of ammo. You'll need it.

And be very careful. Glocks multiply.

magsnubby you are not kidding I picked up a G30 and now plan on getting a G21 in Sept. when I can get the correct capacity mags after that who knows what is next but there will be a next Glock after the G21.

For those that conceal the 30, do you find that it conceals well with an IWB holster and good belt? How does it conceal compared to some of your others that you have carried?

Nala

Personally, I find the G30 to be a bit chunky for IWB. With the proper cover garment, I can do it OWB a lot better. Otherwise, I think a 1911 conceals better than the G30 with IWB.
However, I do read about Sidearmor and Milt Sparks being the best for G30 IWB. I have yet to try them.
