After your members comments on a compact 40 sw polymer pistol. I decided on getting the glock g23. After looking at the top 4 guns the glock, SA, SW,HK I found that most of the 4 models all had about the same trigger pull, the SW mp40 was the closest to the glock and overall I found that while the smith is nice. H&K was just to much money.
The glock 23 comes out in top in size, cap and amount of options available for it to upgrade the trigger etc. Not really much size difference between the G23 and G27 and you get the light rail on the G23.
While the SW and SA are also nice, the glock is kind of like the colt 1911 or polymer guns and you realy can't go wrong with buying one.
I ended up going with gen4 over the gen3 as for a $100 more for the gen4 I got the better recoil sysyem,Tri, night sights and the 3 mags, well worth the extra $100.
Total cost are around $610 delivered from BUDS GUN SUPPLY
